DiCaprio is moved!

May 13, 2010 on 7:56 pm | In Uncategorized | No Comments

How funny is this story from The New York Post.  When Leonardo DiCaprio (who was hiding under a hat), and girlfriend Bar Refaeli were asked to move four times at a showing of “Iron Man 2″ Saturday in LA’s Century City. A source for the newspaper said:

“He clearly didn’t realize you could reserve seats. During the previews, Leo and his group were asked to move three times. Then, as the trailer for his new movie, ‘Inception,’ began playing, they were asked to move again. They were gracious, [and] Leo was smiling at the irony of it.”

They ended up finally sat in the front row. Haha! Can’t all be David Azhar right?!

Gordon Brown resigns as UK PM!!

May 11, 2010 on 8:10 pm | In Uncategorized | No Comments

Just watched: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/election_2010/8675913.stm

Mr Brown has officially tendered his resignation to the Queen at Buckingham Palace, Conservative leader David Cameron succeed him.

He spoke with his wife Sarah outside No 10 Downing Street, he said the job had been “a privilege” and wished his successor well.

His sons joined him and wife Sarah for his brief statement which ended with the words: “Thank you and goodbye.”

Well Mr Brown i think the press esp The Sun have been disgraceful and although you will get alot of critisisim, i believe you had the interests of the country at heart!

Hung Parliament

May 7, 2010 on 7:25 pm | In Uncategorized | No Comments

We have voted and the result (if you don’t want to know, look away NOW) a hung Parliament for the first time in 36 years. All there is to do is wait and see what party joins who, i say rock-paper-scissors.

So what is it? ill let the BBC explain:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/election_2010/8427233.stm

The true leaders are the presenters. Craig and i watched till 01:45am-but insomnia crept in-when Gordon Brown held his seat, i put the TV back on at 08:45am to find David Dimbleby, Jeremy Vine, Nick Robinson (who seemed everywhere today), Jeremy Paxman and Emily Maitlis. Are they not really tired!

I did however watch some of Channel 4’s comedy alternative election prog,  Jimmy Carr and David Mitchell were on form, brilliant humour!!

Gulf Oil Disaster:Firebooms

May 6, 2010 on 11:02 am | In Uncategorized | No Comments

I was watching a prog on Fox News called the Glenn Beck prog.  He was discussing the shocking Gulf Oil Disaster in which 11 workers tragically lost their lives (which seems to be forgotten).

Apparently the federal government did not have a fire boom. Now your prob asking ‘A fire whit?’ A Fire boom is a structure which can be towed out to sea, surrounds an area of oil and then you set the oil on fire. A plan was made in 1994 after the EXXON Valdez oil spill that there should be a supply of firebooms incase of emergency, they had 1 available.

BBC News

A 100-ton concrete-and-steel contraption designed to siphon off the oil fouling the Gulf of Mexico was being hauled to the spot in the sea where a blown-out well is spewing hundreds of thousands of gallons of petroleum a day. Fingers crossed this works because it does not look promising!
