This was really interesting! (bet you think i’m sad!) I was watching a documentary today on the Discovery Channel about Tutankhamun.

They found that  The Egyptian “boy king” Tutankhamun may well have died of malaria after the disease ravaged a body crippled by a rare bone disorder.  The scientists in Egypt spent the last two years scrutinising the mummified remains of the 19-year old pharaoh to extract his blood and DNA but took several CAT scans. The findings revealed traces of the malaria parasite in his blood, the Journal of the American Medical Association says and his left foot was crumbling .

  1. I don’t think it’s sad at all – I find ancient egypt stuff really interesting, coupled with the fact that I have a nephew who is borderline obsessed with it! LOL I missed this documentary though which is a bummer.
