University, Florida & The Olympics!

August 10th, 2008

Hi Everyone.

University life has come to an end after 4 years. I am very pleased with my results and so graduated in July. The day itself was rather surreal because the last time I was in the Barony Hall (where we graduated) was my first day at university. The ceremony involved A LOT of clapping and I could tell it was getting sore by the lack of clapping action from my brother who sat next to me, however I left the hall with a Bachelor of Arts honours degree in psychology, woohoo!

I have also just come back from a family trip to Florida. The appeal invested into a points scheme that allows me to stay at a Walt Disney World resort, which is fully wheelchair accessible. It has all the facilities I need; we had a fantastic time although I came home looking like a milk-bottle. LOL!

Getting ready for the Olympics, which start soon although I probably will not be able to see a thing because of the pollution, LOL! Unfortunately my health has not improved since the last blog and so I will need to get an operation to remedy the problem so plenty to keep me occupied!

Good Luck TeamGB

David

Welcome to The Blog!

June 20th, 2008

Well here it is - The David Azhar Blog - which I will be using to keep you all up to date with the latest goings on and happenings chez Azhar!

All the exams are finished with the dreaded results for my final year still to come and also find myself one year older to my distaste and increasingly grey haired :(

Being the sport addict that I am I am all of a sudden overwhelmed by the choices that I have. Some great rugby during the weekend with the Home Nations in the Southern Hemisphere but nothing can top the third podium place of David Coulthard. With the Eurpean Football Championships starting I’m not too sure if I’m that interested in it, although anything is better than Jeremy Kyle (apologise if i have offended anyone but he is poor!!!). I am still enjoying my experience at Barrhead High School and have recently started a new project which iIam excited about. My health is on the increase after a few months with infection which is never any good during exams which are stressful enough at the best of times, but hopefully, touch wood, I am on the mend!
